The work philosophy of the Rabetllat i Vidal family is to always strive to obtain the best grapes, and to ensure consistent quality over time so that, year after year, harvest after harvest, they can guarantee the excellence of their wines. All of the family's wisdom and best judgement is applied to this objective, and thanks to their good sense, hard work and perseverance their wines are internationally renowned.

Ca N’Estella Estate is a family-owned winery which is managed by the same family, the Rabetllat i Vidal. Delfí Rabetllat was a great lover of wine culture who, having participated in the wine harvests, decided to buy the estate in 1964.

 

In 1992 Mercè Rabetllat, along with her husband Jaume Vidal, decided to resume the estate's traditional winegrowing activity. Today, the third generation has taken the reins, along with a team of external experts.

PETIT CLOT DELS OMS
Red

Wine produced from the estate's Merlot grape variety.

TASTING NOTE

Red wine with a high intensity cherry red colour with hints of ruby. High presence of fine, elegant and persistent tears. With great aromatic intensity, there is a strong presence of toasted and spiced aromas. It has a pleasing initial taste, giving way to great smoothness and integration on the palate. Full-bodied, with high quality tannins, it is lingering and persistent.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

An ideal accompaniment to cured cheeses and game.

Serve between 13ºC and 16ºC.

PETIT CLOT DELS OMS
White

Wine produced from the Macabeu and Xarel·lo grape varieties.

TASTING NOTE

White wine of a pale yellow colour with hints of green and high density. It has a strong presence of abundant and persistent tears. Extremely powerful on the nose, evoking tropical fruits such as mangos, bananas and pineapples.

With a fresh and pleasing entry, the citrus tones give way to the characteristic elegance of Chardonnay.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

An ideal accompaniment to fish, white meat, rice and appetizers.
Serve between 8ºC and 10ºC.

PETIT CLOT DELS OMS
Rosé

Wine produced from the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety.

TASTING NOTE

Rosé wine of a ruby colour with hints of violet and medium density. It has a strong presence of fine and persistent tears. Medium-intensity on the nose, evoking forest fruits with a predominance of raspberry aromas. With a pleasing entry, it is powerful, full-bodied and balanced on the palate. It has a lingering and persistent aftertaste, leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate.

A TRADITIONAL CATALAN COUNTRY HOUSE IN PENEDÈS, FROM THE ESTELLA TO THE RABETLLAT I VIDAL

Stately country house with modernist remains and a spectacular veranda with arches, dating back to 1847, when it was owned by Joan Estella. At present, the house is in a perfect state of repair.

In 1877 the estate was one of the largest in Penedès and its wine received several recognitions. The most valuable legacy of the time was the estate's vineyard. The property was purchased by Delfí Rabetllat in 1964.

CLOT DELS OMS
Red

Wine produced from the estate's Carinyena, Cabernet Suavignon and Merlot grape varieties.

TASTING NOTE

Red wine with a medium intensity ruby red colour with hints of orange. With fine and elegant tears. Intense and elegant on the nose, with perfect harmony between the hints of forest fruits and vanilla. Elegant on the palate with a pleasing entry, giving way to high quality tannins consolidated by its slight acidity. Lingering and persistent on the palate.

An ideal accompaniment to semi-cured cheeses and white meat.
Serve between 14ºC and 16ºC.

CLOT DELS OMS
White

Wine produced exclusively from the estate's Chardonnay and Malvasia grape varieties, specifically from the Chacó vineyard.

TASTING NOTE

White wine of a light golden colour with hints of green and high density. It has a strong presence of abundant and persistent tears. Extremely powerful on the nose, evoking ripe and exotic fruits, mainly mangos. With a non-aggressive and well balanced entry, it has pleasing acidity on the palate and a hint of mango. With a lingering and persistent aftertaste.

Rosé

Wine produced exclusively from the estate's Merlot grape variety, specifically from the Clot dels Oms vineyard.

With a lingering and harmonious aftertaste.

Chardonnay

Xarel·lo

Wine produced exclusively from the estate's Xarel lo grape variety, from vineyards with over 80 years of history. Once the grapes have reached their optimum ripeness, they are hand-picked.

Sweet Rosé wine

Wine produced from the estate's Merlot grape variety.

Sweet rosé wine, with a presence of abundant and persistent tears and high intensity. A hint of sweetness on the palate with a lot of fruit. A real pleasure for the most exquisite palates.

CAVA RABETLLAT I VIDAL
Reserva de la Finca

Cava produced from the estate's Chardonnay, Macabeo and Xarel·lo grape varieties.

Full and persistent with a pleasant aftertaste.

CAVA RABETLLAT I VIDAL
Brut Ca n’Estella

Cava produced from the estate's Xarel·lo and Macabeu grape varieties.

TASTING NOTE

An excellent formation of foam, with abundant bubbles. It has a straw yellow colour with hints of green. It has an intense aroma, evoking almonds and walnuts. It has a pleasing initial taste, and its fizziness combines well with its initial acidic taste and its subsequent sweet taste.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

A good product for appetizers and desserts that are not overly sweet.
Serve between 6ºC and 8ºC.

Extra virgin olive oil

At ca n’Estella Estate, the olive trees are planted on the borders of the vineyards, as was done in the past. The oldest olive trees date back over 200 years.

Ca n’Estella olive oil is made from the Arbequina and Picual varieties grown on these olive trees. This unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil is pressed at a local mill. Ca N'Estella Estate olive oil is sold in 37.5 cl bottles.

Aceite virgen extra

Los Olivos , en Finca ca n’Estella , están plantados en los márgenes de las viñas, como se solia hacerse tradicionalmente. Y los olivos  más viejos tienen más de 200 años. Con las variedades de olivas Arbequina y Picual, de estos Olivos, se elabora el Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra, fruto del premsado de un molino de la zona, sin filtrar.

El aceite de Finca Ca N'Estella es comercialitza en notellas de
37,5 cl.
